PRESCOTT, AZ. (June 26, 2015) – After nearly three years of inactivity, one of Arizona’s premier golf courses is set to re-open. The Tom Weiskopf-designed layout at Capital Canyon Club recently underwent extensive renovations and completed a total restoration of the former dormant golf course.
The Par 71, 6600 yard design features magnificent scenery from virtually every hole on the golf course. With dramatic elevation changes throughout the landscape, Capital Canyon Club offers a challenging, yet rewarding 18 holes for golfers of every handicap. Re-shaped and sweeping fairways give way to undulating greens, some widened and even made narrower to improve playability. With the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff providing an awe-inspiring backdrop to the golf course, members and guests of the exclusive private country club will be treated to a memorable round on the links in Arizona’s high country. Capital Canyon Club will open up play on July 1 while a celebration event is set for July 4. The Grand Opening is scheduled for August 15.
