(Sept. 1, 2016) -- In a transformative, multi-year agreement, PGA of America has named leading competitive energy and services company Constellation its “Official Energy Provider and Sustainability Partner.” Constellation will work with the PGA to conduct energy efficiency analyses and recommend an actionable sustainability strategy and energy management program in an effort to reduce the environmental impact of the organization. To kick off the partnership, Constellation will minimize the carbon footprint of the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club.

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — The top five players on the PGA Tour this season should be plenty rested going into the FedEx Cup playoffs.
Most of them haven't played since the PGA Championship three weeks ago.
That's because most of them didn't go to the Olympics.
Two anniversaries this week. Each memorable for a completely different reason.
Twenty years ago, Aug. 25, 1996: Tiger Woods made history, becoming the first player to win three straight U.S. Amateur championships.
What followed was more than a decade of complete dominance. Woods made the unlikely seem commonplace, and he turned intimidation -- through the force of his achievement, steely demeanor and Sunday red -- into an art form.
We've all been there. You hit a great shot into the green, you're feeling good about yourself, but then you see the break your putt is going to take and you freak out a little bit.
It's OK. "Reading greens is a little bit of an art form," PGA Professional Rob Labritz told us. But, it's not an art form that you can't master by following some simple steps.

I have never enjoyed playing golf as much in my life as I do now.
And the funny thing is, I'm not nearly the player I was 15 years ago (if you consider someone who hovered just below a 10 handicap at his very best a "player"). My scores may be higher these days, but my love for golf is as strong as it's ever been.
Maybe I took it for granted when I was a teenager, being fortunate enough to play 36 holes per day in the summer months when I was out of school, or the year before my first child was born -- 2013 -- when I logged 70+ rounds, four of which came at the paradise that is Bandon Dunes.
