Paradise Awaits You

Nuevo Vallarta has some of the most beautiful white sand beaches along Mexico's Pacific coast.  This tropical beach paradise, located about 25 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta, is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra Madre Mountains in a region called Riviera Nayarit.

Beyond it's gorgeous setting, it also boast an average temperature of 80 degrees, some of the friendliest people you'll meet in your travels, delectable food and, of course, top notch golf!

The Nicklaus Design Golf Course

Surrounded by lush jungle and the Sierra Madre Mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, the Nicklaus Design Golf Course at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta is a natural and technical masterpiece.

This 6,668 yard, par 70 course is a joy to play for every player, from your low to high handicap. But with seven lakes, 49 strategically placed bunkers, and constant, strong crosswinds coming off of the ocean, this course always presents a challenge.

And to fine-tune everyone's game, the nearby Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf offers an unprecedented level of instruction with state-of-the-art training technology.

The Norman Signature Golf Course

The Norman Signature Golf Course at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta encompasses the finest in golf with unsurpassed course conditioning on wall-to-wall Paspalum playing surfaces.

The exciting layout winds along the banks of the Ameca River providing views of the Sierra Madres from every hole. Large landing areas off the tee give way to large undulating greens protected in typical Norman fashion by cavernous bunkers. Indigenous trees, native grasses and jungle surround the core course layout which is uninterrupted by housing and civilization throughout.

As challenging from the championship tees as it is forgiving from the forward tees, the Norman course offers four different options for players. All this and a trip across the world's longest golf cart suspension bridge spanning the Ameca River from Nayarit to Jalisco, and you'll not experience a round like it anywhere else in the world.

2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open Final Round Review

Another Waste Management Phoenix Open is in the books, and much like the past two years, more than 18 holes were needed to decide a champion during Sunday’s final round. Gary Woodland finds himself in the winner’s circle after besting Chez Reavie in a sudden-death playoff, tapping in for par and the victory on the first playoff hole. This is Woodland’s third PGA TOUR victory, and his first since the 2013 Barracuda Championship.

Woodland made birdie on three of the final four holes to enter the clubhouse as the outright leader at 18-under par. Reavie – who teed off with the final group – entered the final three holes one shot back. Reavie overcame a bogey on 16 and was two shots off the lead with two holes to play before making birdie on 17. The crowd who walked with the final group all day then found themselves at the 18th green to witness Reavie drain a clutch 21-foot putt to force a playoff.

Woodland and Reavie only needed one extra hole to decide a champion. Both players left their approach shots short of the 18th green, but Reavie’s third shot came to rest outside seven feet, which opened the door for Woodland to tap in for the victory.  It was the fourth-straight PGA TOUR event ending in a playoff, and the third-straight WM Phoenix Open playoff.

Amazing winter weather and an entire city abuzz with anticipation for the 2018 event drew nearly 720,000 (719,179) fans to the tournament during the week. In total, four attendance records were broken (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) including the weekly total, which broke the previous record (655,434) set just last year by more than 63,000.
