The UNC Cup is an amateur team event for players of all skill levels held this April. 
It's truly a trip of a lifetime combining multi-day & multi-format play in an exotic location that will create memories for a lifetime!

The USA, Canada & Mexico Team Championship will be played April 27 - 29 at both the Nicklaus Design and Norman Signature golf courses at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta.

Men and women amateur golfers from the United States, Canada and Mexico with a verifiable Handicap Index are now invited to register for the tournament.

You will represent your association/club and play against other associations/clubs from the USA, Canada and Mexico in this two-person, three-day fun, casual event for all skill levels.
Foursomes (best ball), four ball (modified alternate shot), and two-person scramble. Each association/club can enter as many two-person teams as they wish.

Another Waste Management Phoenix Open is in the books, and much like the past two years, more than 18 holes were needed to decide a champion during Sunday’s final round. Gary Woodland finds himself in the winner’s circle after besting Chez Reavie in a sudden-death playoff, tapping in for par and the victory on the first playoff hole. This is Woodland’s third PGA TOUR victory, and his first since the 2013 Barracuda Championship.

Woodland made birdie on three of the final four holes to enter the clubhouse as the outright leader at 18-under par. Reavie – who teed off with the final group – entered the final three holes one shot back. Reavie overcame a bogey on 16 and was two shots off the lead with two holes to play before making birdie on 17. The crowd who walked with the final group all day then found themselves at the 18th green to witness Reavie drain a clutch 21-foot putt to force a playoff.

Woodland and Reavie only needed one extra hole to decide a champion. Both players left their approach shots short of the 18th green, but Reavie’s third shot came to rest outside seven feet, which opened the door for Woodland to tap in for the victory.  It was the fourth-straight PGA TOUR event ending in a playoff, and the third-straight WM Phoenix Open playoff.

Amazing winter weather and an entire city abuzz with anticipation for the 2018 event drew nearly 720,000 (719,179) fans to the tournament during the week. In total, four attendance records were broken (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) including the weekly total, which broke the previous record (655,434) set just last year by more than 63,000.

Some of the biggest names in sports packed Wednesday’s star-studded Annexus Pro-Am to tee it up with the best PGA TOUR players in the world at the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open. No one was surprised to see two-time defending WM Phoenix Open champion Hideki Matsuyama’s group take top honors with a group score of 57. You can view the full Annexus Pro-Am results below.

Thousands of golf fanatics flocked to the famed 16th hole after the Pro-Am to watch the Phoenix Suns Charities Shot at Glory, a closest-to-the-pin contest for a chance at $1 million for charity. Spectators on hand were treated to the sight of professional skydivers bringing the American Flag down from the clouds, as well as the Phoenix Suns dance team and firework displays. Dave Wood, senior VP of OUTFRONT Media, secured first place in the contest when his ball came to rest 14 feet five inches from the center pin location. Jim Pitman came in second only five inches outside of Wood’s shot, and Charles Kelley from Lady Antebellum came in third place, 21 feet seven inches from the hole.

Buckle up, sports fans: Thursday’s first round kicks off tomorrow morning at 7:20 a.m. with the afternoon groupings starting at 11:35 a.m.

2018 WM Phoenix Open Thursday/Friday Pairings

Tuesday at the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open was full of fun activities and exceptional weather for golf. Hundreds of kids took the day off of school to take part in a Q&A session with NFL Legend Larry Fitzgerald and reigning FedExCup Champion Justin Thomas and see a trick-shot golf show at the R.S. Hoyt Jr. Foundation Dream Day. On the other side of the course, celebrities like former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians and Phoenix Suns great, Tom Chambers, teamed up with Special Olympians for the San Tan Ford Special Olympics Putting Challenge. In-between all the festivities, fans had a chance to see the PGA TOUR’s best play practice rounds throughout the day.

The weather has certainly generated a buzz, and the forecast looks perfect for a great week at TPC Scottsdale. We’ll see you out here tomorrow for Wednesday’s Annexus Pro-Am which features a star-studded lineup of celebrities, athletes and business leaders teeing it up alongside PGA TOUR pros.

2018 Annexus Pro-Am Pairings

The first day of the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open Presented by Ak-Chin Indian Community is in the books. Monday’s Kadima.Ventures Pro-Am featured PGA TOUR pros teeing it up with community leaders and VIPs in what could be described as perfect weather for golf. Kevin Tway’s group won the event with a group score of 56. Dominic Bozzelli’s group finished in second place just one shot off the leader’s pace, and Alex Cejka came in third with a respectable 58.

Don’t miss tomorrow’s Tuesday action with the R.S. Hoyt Jr. Family Foundation Dream Day presented by PING beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the TPC Champions Course practice range. Fans on hand for Dream Day can join in on the fun and see a trick-shot golf show, junior golf instruction provided by The First Tee of Phoenix, other games, lunch and motivational speeches from PGA TOUR star Justin Thomas and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Also taking place Tuesday is the San Tan Ford Special Olympics Open where Special Olympians, celebrities, sports stars and business leaders from the Valley take part in a friendly competition. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. on TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course putting green.
