The LPGA wrapped up their 2022 season on Sunday in historic fashion. Not only did they give out the biggest winner’s check in professional women’s golf, but their season long champion had a year for the record books. Lydia Ko won the CME Group Tour Championship by two shots over Leona Maguire.

Ko’s consistency all year has been remarkable. In a season where she won the scoring title (Vare Trophy), official money title ($4.3 million), and the Rolex Player of the Year, what can be said to sum it all up? In the final round of the 2022 Shriners Children's Open, Tom Kim completed a bogey-free week with a 5-under 66, becoming the first player since Tiger Woods in 1996 to win twice on the PGA TOUR before turning 21.

It’s back. After a four-year hiatus, the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown will return to the LPGA Tour schedule in 2023. This iteration of the unique match-play event will be held at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, site of the 2009 Presidents Cup and the 2020 PGA Championship.

Much of the formatting for this revised competition remains the same as what fans remember from previous International Crown matches, the last of which was held in 2018 in South Korea and won by the host nation. Eight countries will qualify based on the combined Rolex Rankings of their four best players as of November 21, 2022, right after the conclusion of the CME Group Tour Championship.

It was another memorable National Car Rental PGA Jr. League Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Team North Carolina (Charlotte) won the Championship for the first time, defeating Team California (Encinitas) in the Championship final.

With 70,000 boys and girls playing PGA Jr. League in 2022, it has attracted attention from some of the most recognizable names in sports, both inside and outside the game of golf. 2021 Champions, Team Utah, featured both PGA Tour and U.S. Ryder Cup star Tony Finau’s son, Jraice, 10, and nephew, Jordan Ofahengaue, 12. Utah finished in 5th place this year.
