Our Brewers' Philosophy

Anyone can brew beer, but it takes a gifted brewer’s touch to create beers that have a dedicated spot in your fridge door. Our process begins with ambition, intent and a love of the craft, because without them, well, you’ll end up nowhere.

Brewed With the best

You could say we're obsessive. But who says that's a bad thing? Especially if it leads to good beer. Each year we travel to Yakima Valley, one of the world's most fertile hop-growing regions, to select the finest hops. Our true-to-style beers are authentic right down to the water we use. We emulate the exact mineral content of the water where each beer style originated.
There are four main ingredients in beer – water, yeast, malt and hops – and each one surpasses our rigorous standards before it's included in our brews. We use a proprietary yeast strain and hand-selected local ingredients as much as possible. Yeah, we take brewing that seriously.

From Kettle to Tap 

While the order of events remains mostly the same, the timing, temperatures and other details in the brewing process can be finessed almost indefinitely. These small variations create hundreds of beer styles. It takes two weeks to two months to brew a batch of beer depending on the style and desired characteristics.

Quality and Consistency

Every pint you sip and cap you pop will taste exactly the same. How do we know? We taste-test, lab-test and brew-test every batch before it hits your lips. We’ve got advanced degrees ranging from chemistry to microbiology to anthropology, and we use high-tech equipment and detailed protocols – all so every Four Peaks beer will be as delicious and satisfying whether it’s coming from tap, bottle, keg, cask or can.

Beer for Everyone

How do we get that beer in your hand? Word-of-mouth, of course. We use brewers, bartenders, delivery drivers and patrons ... whatever it takes. Brewing an outstanding beer is a great accomplishment, and our favorite step in the brewing process is enjoying it with those who love Four Peaks.
