Tournament Chairman George Thimsen announced today former WM Phoenix Open champion Rickie Fowler, six-time PGA TOUR winner Tony Finau and World No. 20 Sahith Theegala have committed to play in the 2024 WM Phoenix Open presented by Taylor Morrison, which is scheduled to be played February 5-11 at TPC Scottsdale.

“We are very excited to have three of the most popular and energetic players on the PGA TOUR back at ‘The People’s Open’,” Thimsen said. “Rickie, Tony and Sahith are clearly fan favorites at the WM Phoenix Open and have all had tremendous success here, with Rickie being our 2019 champion. We’re looking forward to seeing them compete in February.”

In the final round of The American Express 2024, Nick Dunlap shot a 2-under 70 to win by one shot at 29-under overall. Dunlap’s clutch par on the 72nd hole sealed his first victory on the PGA TOUR, the first by an amateur since 1991.

The Thunderbirds announced today NFL all-time leading rusher Emmitt Smith and two-time Olympic gold medalist Carli Lloyd are among the first list of celebrities to commit to play in the popular Annexus Pro-Am at the WM Phoenix Open presented by Taylor Morrison on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course.

The WM Phoenix Open presented by Taylor Morrison was honored by the PGA TOUR at the TOUR’s annual Tournament Meetings on December 7. The WM Phoenix Open was named the PGA TOUR “Tournament of the Year,” sharing the designation with the BMW Championship. The TOUR’s annual Phoenix-area stop also received “Best Special Event” honors for its “Concert in the Coliseum” as well as “Best Title Sponsor Integration” for the event’s unparalleled sustainability initiatives.

This is the first time since the 2018-19 season the PGA TOUR has presented a complete roster of tournament awards, due to challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
