Each year, The Thunderbirds – hosts of the Waste Management Phoenix Open – invite local and national members of the media to a different event usually held a few weeks before the start of “The People’s Open” – Media Day. The event has become a fun-filled tradition where newspaper and magazine officials, radio and TV personalities and reporters can enjoy a day on the golf course and learn more about the upcoming golf tournament.
“Today is one of my favorite days of the year,” said 2021 Tournament Scott Jenkins. “It’s a true partnership. The local and national media has done a fantastic job working with us to promote the event. We love to get everyone out here to experience the course and preview all the fun and exciting things we have planned for the next edition of the WM Phoenix Open.”
