They have an outstanding facility that is extremely popular in the area which should help us tap into that on-going participant base,” added Hocknull.
Through his playing moniker and business title, “Learn, Play and Laugh,” Hocknull’s extensive list of golf programs include the Tiny Golfer Program, the kids golf league, the Outback Junior Academy, the Outback Golf University, Ladies Only Get Golf Ready and the Patriot Golf Academy. Recently, highly-acclaimed golf instructor Kent Chase who also works with Hocknull, saw one of his students, Zach Wright help lead the LSU Tigers to the NCAA National Men’s Golf Championship earlier this month. The first national golf crown for the Tigers in 60 years. “What a thrill for me and everyone associated with Zach’s progress as a golfer. I couldn’t be happier for him and LSU. Zach finished tied for 11th, just eight shots off the lead, but his strong play along with his teammates propelled them to victory, their first national title since 1955,” said Chase. “Zach was the best 100 yards player that any of the instructors at our golf academy had ever seen.”
