Top-Notch Field Expected in Phoenix for 2023 LPGA Drive On Championship at Superstition Mountain Golf Club

GOLD CANYON, Ariz., Feb. 28, 2023 – With just one month to go until the LPGA Tour returns to Phoenix, the field for the 2023 LPGA Drive On Championship at Superstition Mountain Golf Club is already shaping up to provide golf fans with an incredible slate of world-class talent.

Top-Notch Field Expected in Phoenix for 2023 LPGA Drive On Championship at Superstition Mountain Golf ClubThe preliminary LPGA Drive On Championship field is led by Nelly Korda, currently No. 2 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings, along with Brooke Henderson and Lilia Vu, who have already captured LPGA Tour wins in 2023. On March 23-26, they will be joined by a global list of the world’s top female golfers, including major champions In Gee Chun, Danielle Kang, Jin Young Ko, Anna Nordqvist and Patty Tavatanakit.

Jennifer Kupcho is among the LPGA Tour stars who base out of Superstition Mountain, which will host the LPGA Tour’s first full-field event of the 2023 season. The event will also set the stage for a month-long run to qualify for the first women’s major of the year, The Chevron Championship, where Kupcho is expected to defend her 2022 title. Kupcho will be joined on her home course by Carlota Ciganda, Dana (Finkelstein) Fall, Mina Harigae and Caroline Inglis.

Superstition Mountain is no stranger to hosting the world’s leading female golfers. It was the venue for the 2004-2008 Safeway International, with a Hall-of-Fame list of winners in Annika Sorenstam (2004, 2005), Juli Inkster (2006) and Lorena Ochoa (2007, 2008). The competition also marks the next stage in the LPGA Tour’s long relationship with the greater Phoenix area, from the 1953 Phoenix Weathervane to the 2019 Cognizant Founders Cup.

Fans can expect four days of excitement at Superstition Mountain, with numerous family- and fan-friendly activities outside the ropes.

The best ticket value is a Weekly General Admission pass, which includes four days of parking, for $95. Daily General Admission tickets are $40, and all juniors 17 and under will receive complimentary access to the tournament grounds with a ticketed adult. Additionally, volunteer opportunities are available for fans who want to participate in the week’s festivities.
