Bridgestone Golf Balls Honored with Five Gold Medals in Golf Digest Hot List

(COVINGTON, GA) – Bridgestone Golf – Innovator of premium golf balls, clubs and accessories – had five models awarded the highest ranking of “Gold” in Golf Digest’s 2017 Golf Ball Hot List, featured in the May issue of the publication.

Among the models honored were the Tour B330, B330-S, B330-RX, B330-RXS and the e6 SOFT. This total is the highest number of Gold medals awarded to any company on the list. Additional highlights include:

  • B330 Series received highest score in the innovation category for balls costing more than $35
  • e6 SOFT recognized for superiority in straight flight and received the top score in the demand category for balls between $26-$35
  • Bridgestone had four models awarded Gold in the over $35 category, double any other brand

The B330 Series and e6 lines continue to separate themselves from top competitors. Recent Bridgestone Golf Ball Fitting data showed the Tour B330 Series is 44% straighter and 6.9 yards longer than the ProV1 series, while the e6 series is 36% straighter than Titleist***.

“The annual Golf Ball Hot List is a great showcase for companies bringing true innovation and excellence to the category and it’s no surprise that we brought home so many gold medals,” says Elliot Mellow, Golf Ball Marketing. “Unlike other companies, we focus on engineering balls that optimally fit every type of player profile rather than just tour players. Ball fitting data shows that our golf balls are straighter and longer than Titleist which gives golfers a true on-course benefit.”

Separating Bridgestone from all other ball manufacturers is the company’s unique and proven approach to new product development. It introduced a proprietary Ball Fitting system in 2007 and uses the data gathered to drive research and development. This real-world understanding of player needs was a catalyst in the creation of the B330 Series, as well as the e6 SOFT and e6 SPEED Series. The company’s professional staff features 14-time major championship winner Tiger Woods, FedExCup champion Brandt Snedeker, Olympics bronze medalist Matt Kuchar, Masters winner Fred Couples, three-time major champion Nick Price and rising PGA Tour stars Bryson DeChambeau and Hudson Swafford, as well as LPGA standouts Stacy Lewis, Paula Creamer, and Karrie Webb.
